Job Summary
EF Education First is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the non-academic departments and ensure the highest level of service to all students and staff. As the Director of Student Services, you will be responsible for managing a large team and ensuring the successful running of the student services, administration, activities, and welfare departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of managers and staff to deliver high-quality services to students and staff
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with the management team to maintain quality and meet industry accreditation standards
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations and policies
- Recruit, develop, and motivate staff to achieve their full potential
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve departmental goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to inform decision-making
Requirements
- 2 years' experience as a manager running a team of no less than 10 staff
- Ability to guide, develop, inspire, and motivate teams
- Proven track record in effective recruitment and HR
- Relentless focus on customer service and quality
- Operational experience in the education sector (desired but not essential)
- Global or international work experience (desired)
- A model of quality and professionalism
- Commitment to the highest standards of welfare provision
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage difficult situations and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent cross-cultural communication, people, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong, confident decision maker, highly motivated with empathy for others
- Hospitality, sales, and marketing experience (welcome)
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- University graduate required; C2 level proficiency in spoken and written English, other languages an advantage
- Right to work in the UK
- Clean DBS check and 2 references required
