Job Description

Job Title: IT Audit and Controls Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Audit and Controls Director to join our team at Director File. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and delivery of our IT Audit requirements for our London portfolio of External Audits in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT Audit team: Oversee the delivery of high-quality work and develop the team members working alongside you.
  • Strategic Direction: Help lead the strategic direction of our IT Audit requirements and develop methodologies and guidance for internal use.
  • Business Development: Support our business development activity, leading bids and tender activities, and developing deep internal networks and relationships.
  • Client Service Delivery: Provide exceptional client service delivery, identifying and raising matters with Partners while exercising judgment within agreed parameters.
  • Innovation: Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to enhance our delivery and act as a point of escalation throughout an engagement.
  • Leadership: Lead a team supporting a portfolio of IT audit engagements, working alongside the audit team to strategically plan resources, audit scope, and project plans.
  • People Management: Inspire, coach, and develop the team, developing and overseeing training programs to ensure skills remain current and relevant.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess strong technical expertise in IT General Controls, Business Process Control Activities, Integrating Controls testing and Data Analytics, and Cyber risk management.

Requirements:

  • IT General Controls & Business Process Control Activities: Strong understanding of IT General Controls and Business Process Control Activities.
  • Integrating Controls testing and Data Analytics: Ability to integrate controls testing and Data Analytics into an external audit approach.
  • Cyber risk management: Strong understanding of Cyber risk management and business resilience.
  • IT system implementation risks and controls: Ability to identify and mitigate IT system implementation risks and controls.
  • IT Governance and IT Compliance Reviews: Strong understanding of IT Governance and IT Compliance Reviews.
  • Service Auditor Reporting: Ability to provide insightful reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
