Working Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm

About the Role:

LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a compassionate and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a three-form entry primary school in Northfield, Birmingham. This role involves providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a well-resourced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students in a reception class, both individually and in small groups, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEN in their learning and development.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in an early years setting, such as reception or nursery.
  • Proven ability to support children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in teaching assistance or a related field.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
