Position Overview: Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a mainstream primary school to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant focused on supporting two pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 1.

Role Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide essential support to two students, one in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and another in Year 2 with a medical condition requiring additional educational assistance.

Phonics Instruction: This role includes delivering Little Wandle phonics reading sessions for groups in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 three afternoons a week. Familiarity with the phonics program is advantageous, though training will be provided for the right individual.

Importance of the Role: This position is vital within the school environment and has the potential to evolve into a permanent role, subject to budgetary considerations.

Candidate Requirements: We are seeking individuals with significant experience in supporting SEN students in Key Stage 1 and those who are skilled in intervention strategies. A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
