Job Summary:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a SEN school within a large trust in Sandwell. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a vital role in delivering support to teachers in SEN classes and contributing to a smooth day-to-day operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in SEN classes, helping to create a constructive and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students.
  • Support pupils with SEND, differentiating instruction to meet individual needs and promote inclusive learning.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of strong relationships with students, parents, governors, and the local community.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (unqualified candidates with SEN experience may be considered).
  • Excellent behavior management and classroom management skills.
  • Knowledge of AQA exam board and experience with GCSEs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
