About the Role

In collaboration with a prominent Main Contractor in the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) sector, Boden Group is seeking a Lead M&E Cost Consultant to enhance their accomplished team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both pre and post-contract activities within the data centre domain, offering significant avenues for career advancement.
  • Engage closely with clients to foster relationships and manage Bids and Estimations during the pre-contract phase, continuing through to the execution and finalization of contracts.

This position provides the successful candidate with the chance to manage high-profile, multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion, allowing you to demonstrate your professional capabilities.

Key Duties Include:

  • Administering trade Contractor & Consultant responsibilities in collaboration with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations of project documentation, including defining roles and responsibilities and managing necessary notifications for changes.
  • Coordinating with clients and third parties on commercial matters, including negotiating additional funding.

Financial Management:

  • Overseeing cost management for additional works.
  • Managing revenue and change for additional works.
  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities related to additional works.
  • Administering Sub-contracts impacted by additional works.
  • Handling interim applications and final account agreements for additional works.
  • Facilitating dispute resolution and claims management.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of contract and commercial law.
  • Experience in the M&E, MEP, or Data Centre sectors.
  • Possession of a BSc, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Flexible working arrangements are available.
