Consultant in Acute Stroke Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Medicine Consultant to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Department of Stroke Medicine, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the ongoing development of our stroke service.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to consultant ward rounds on a regular basis, working closely with the clinical and managerial team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Collaborate with the team to support and deliver quality improvements on the Stroke Unit and in the community, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes.
- Provide clinical input into the early supported discharge service, specialist stroke community initiatives, and stroke follow-up, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
- Take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, sharing your expertise with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical and other service activities, such as medical and service audit, to maintain high standards of patient care and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of clinical quality and effectiveness in other clinical areas where relevant, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care.
- Advance the Unit's research programme, driving innovation and excellence in stroke medicine.
