We are thrilled to announce the establishment of a new 32-bed Acute Medical Unit. As part of our comprehensive Stroke services, you will have the chance to engage in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, Stroke Unit, TIA, and Early Supported Discharge service.

Our institution is recognized for its diverse patient demographic and high-acuity cases. We are in search of dedicated Consultants who are eager to contribute to the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine (50%) and Stroke Medicine (50%)

We invite applications from individuals with a background in Acute/General Medicine and Stroke, who are collaborative team members and possess exceptional communication abilities. The role encompasses active involvement in clinical governance, service enhancement, education, and research initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CCT in General Internal Medicine (or anticipated within six months)
  • Current ALS certification
  • Full GMC Registration

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in High Dependency and Intensive Care Medicine

Knowledge & Expertise Requirements

  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to the standards required for obtaining UK CCT in General Internal Medicine
  • Awareness of the current NHS landscape and its challenges
  • Experience in organizing and executing clinical research projects

  • Fluency in English
  • Empathetic approach to patient care
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
