Job Summary:

The Credit Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payment and maintaining accurate records.

This role is crucial within the Accounting & Finance department of a prominent industrial / manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities
  • Resolve account discrepancies and invoice disputes
  • Liaise with the sales team to manage credit exposure
  • Conduct credit checks on new customers
  • Prepare monthly credit control reports for management
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of credit control strategies
  • Comply with all financial policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of credit control procedures and regulations
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy
