Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial and Customer Interactions
    • Assist in the day-to-day administration of all commercial and customer-related interactions concerning invoicing, billing, and customer transactions.
  • Team Collaboration
    • The post sits within a team whose principal purpose is to ensure all related business activities are executed effectively.
  • Financial Accuracy and Compliance
    • Invoices from sales are calculated and billed expediently, accurately, and all other customer transactions are provided to a consistently high quality.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • The role's responsibilities include being a point of contact for new and existing customers enquiring about opening and closing accounts, meter readings, and all aspects of the role.
  • Process Improvement and Development
    • The role will also entail supporting company processes, identifying areas for improvement, designing and implementing process changes, and monitoring the results to ensure that the new processes are successful.
  • Technical Skills
    • This role combines both customer-facing activities and the use of back-office systems.
  • Soft Skills
    • As a result, the role demands high standards of customer service combined with good levels of numeracy and accuracy when interpreting information provided by metering and billing systems.

Requirements

  • Accounts Receivable Experience
    • Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related field is essential.
  • Process Improvement and Development
    • Good improvements to processes and a clear demonstration of this.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Capable of working to a consistently high standard in a customer-facing role.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
    • Good communication and inter-personal skills including the ability to clearly explain complex matters to customers.
  • Conflict Resolution
    • The ability to act calmly and effectively in potentially confrontational situations.
  • Education and Training
    • May be working towards an accountancy degree.
