We are in search of a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for enhancing and supervising our sourcing capabilities while managing all facets of the supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a proactive approach in managing the workload of team members, with plans to expand the procurement team as needed.
  • Align procurement activities with the company's Quality Management System, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Formulate, execute, and refine purchasing strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain robust supplier relationships and manage the supplier database, purchase records, and relevant documentation.
  • Oversee ERP system purchase requirements for ongoing projects and manage inventory control to assess and fulfill inventory needs.
  • Establish supplier frameworks to enhance procurement processes.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify the best products and suppliers, focusing on value, delivery timelines, and quality.
  • Manage the tendering process, evaluate bids, and provide recommendations based on both commercial and technical criteria.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts while monitoring service quality.
  • Track the status of all active purchase orders and assist the team with expediting as necessary.
  • Communicate updates on procurement activities to key stakeholders.
  • Train new hires and junior team members on the purchasing process and system usage.
  • Develop strategies aimed at achieving cost savings and enhancing supplier performance.
  • Handle supplier communications regarding non-conforming goods.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement supervisory or managerial role.
  • Background in the Facilities Management industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Experience in managing bids and tenders.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand material specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Possession of a full current driving license.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in a facilities and construction environment, particularly with facilities management contracts.
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for project management and cost analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of Hard FM and Soft FM services.
  • Familiarity with Yardi software is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in IT, particularly the 365 suite.

Qualifications:

Must hold an industry-recognized purchasing qualification, such as CIPS level 4/5 or an equivalent.
