We are seeking a Procurement Manager to spearhead and enhance our sourcing capabilities while overseeing all facets of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adopt a hands-on approach while supervising the workload of team members (initially, this role will be standalone with plans for future administrative support and potential team expansion).
- Align with the company's Quality Management System, focusing on continuous improvement across our operations and facilities.
- Formulate, execute, and perpetually refine purchasing strategies.
- Maintain robust supplier relationships and manage the supplier database, procurement records, and associated documentation.
- Oversee ERP system purchasing requirements for ongoing projects, coordinating inventory control to assess and manage inventory needs.
- Explore the establishment of supplier frameworks.
- Conduct thorough research to identify optimal products and suppliers based on value, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Facilitate tender processes, assess bids, and provide recommendations grounded in commercial and technical criteria.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring quality service delivery.
- Monitor the status of all active purchase orders and assist the team with expediting as necessary.
- Keep key stakeholders informed about all procurement activities.
- Train new hires and junior team members on the purchasing process and the use of the procurement system.
- Devise strategies to achieve cost savings and meet supplier performance targets.
- Manage supplier communications regarding non-conforming goods.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement supervisory or managerial role.
- Background in the Facilities Management industry.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Experience in managing bids and tenders.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and a solid understanding of material specifications and components.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Possession of a full, current driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience within a facilities and construction context, particularly focusing on facilities management contracts.
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for project management and cost analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Hard FM and Soft FM services.
- Familiarity with Yardi software is advantageous.

Possession of an industry-recognized purchasing qualification, such as CIPS qualified level 4/5 or an equivalent credential.
