Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team at TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK & Europe. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to support business growth, increased margins, and cost-saving initiatives.
Main Responsibilities- Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives, including creating and implementing procurement plans, identifying and developing new supply chains, and producing commercial modeling and pricing proposals.
- Commercial Sourcing: Provide strategic procurement input to ensure competitive commercial offerings and solution design for new business opportunities, lead large-scale commercial pricing projects, and identify and mitigate supply and commercial risks within the supply chain.
- Category Management: Create and develop strategic long-term category strategies with a time plan and cost/benefit proposal, and lead strategic supplier negotiations to eliminate/reduce costs and obtain preferential terms.
- Contract Management: Review contracts and terms and conditions, identifying procurement risks and responsibilities, and negotiate all key commercial data and supplier agreements relative to a specific project.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the needs of the customer are understood and met.
- Experience: Previous significant experience in a procurement sourcing environment, bid work experience, and experience in project management and/or managing a large program of work from sourcing to delivery.
- Qualifications: MCIPS qualified or working towards, and a full driving license.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, ability to identify opportunities for improvement, and excellent communication skills at all levels.
