About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist Dietitian to join our esteemed Community Learning Disabilities Team at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities across Leeds.

As part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of our service users. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, providing expert dietetic care to individuals with diverse needs, including weight management, diabetes, nutrition support, and enteral feeding.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dietetic assessments and develop individualized care plans for individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Deliver evidence-based nutritional counseling and education to service users, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative nutrition programs for individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.

About You

We are looking for a registered dietitian with extensive post-registration experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities. You will possess a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of our service users.
