Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Oncology Dietitian to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our dietetic department, you will be responsible for providing advanced, highly specialized dietetic care to patients at local and regional level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nutrition advice to patients and healthcare staff, including complex dietetic treatment and advice.
  • Lead aspects of clinical training of dietetic students and support the Clinical Dietetic Manager in coordinating activities of the team.
  • Deliver and supervise training to healthcare staff, dietitians, and students at local and regional level.
  • Initiate and coordinate research and audit projects within the specialized area and disseminate findings at conference level.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance and risk assessment in the respective specialized clinical area.
  • Lead the development of resources used in the education and training of patients, health professionals, and the public at local and regional level.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of biochemistry, physiology, and specialized pharmacology.
  • Ability to analyze, investigate, and assess highly complex clinical and non-clinical information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
