We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our Children's Dietetic Department as a Senior Specialist Dietitian. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing advanced dietetic care to children and their families with respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialised dietetic care to children and their families, working closely with consultants, medical teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Lead aspects of clinical training for dietetic learners and other staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Support the Children's Clinical Dietetic Manager in coordinating activities of the team, providing supervision and guidance to staff.
- Deliver and supervise training to healthcare staff, dietitians, and students at local and regional level, acting as a resource in the specialist area.
- Initiate and coordinate research and audit projects within the specialist area, disseminating findings at conference level.
- Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Advanced counselling skills, with the ability to provide sensitive and empathetic care to patients and their families.
- Knowledge of dietary analysis programmes, with the ability to interpret and apply data to inform clinical decisions.
- Experience of working as a Dietitian at a senior level, including paediatric experience, with a strong understanding of current issues in Nutrition and Dietetics.
