About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Renal Dietitian to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our Renal Dietetic Team, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutritional care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nutritional assessment and advice to patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease stages 3-5, including those requiring renal replacement therapy and renal transplant.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated dietetic care and advocate for patients' nutritional needs.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for healthcare staff, patients, and students to promote best practice in renal care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in renal care.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian.
  • Postgraduate diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
