Job Summary

We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Purchase Invoice Processing
    • Ensuring all purchase invoices are matched between purchase orders, goods received notes, and purchase invoices.
    • Investigating mis-matches and working with the team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Purchase Ledger Maintenance
    • Maintaining the purchase ledger, including running monthly purchase ledger reports.
    • Ensuring strong internal control over the Purchase Ledger function, including proper procedures for purchase orders and invoices.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Monitoring and identifying costs to the business.
    • Performing supplier statement reconciliations and keeping track of them for audit support.
  • Support to Finance Manager
    • Supporting the Finance Manager in the preparation and execution of the annual audit.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role working with a high volume at pace.
  • Strong customer service ability to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to support annual audits and their preparation.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential.
