Job Title: Principal / Associate Fire Engineer
Company Overview: Our client is a reputable independent consultancy specializing in fire safety, façade engineering, security risk management, and resilience strategies. They provide expert guidance, innovative design solutions, construction oversight, and comprehensive risk management services.
Role Overview:
- Lead Complex Projects: As a Principal Fire Engineer, you will spearhead intricate projects throughout all phases, including construction, while overseeing the daily operations from both technical and managerial viewpoints.
- Implement Fire Assurance Services: Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to the established fire safety strategy.
- Manage Projects Effectively: Oversee small to medium-sized projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with client objectives.
- Foster Client Relationships: Utilize strong communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service.
- Enhance Technical Expertise: Contribute to the overall technical proficiency of the company and support team members in their professional development.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting them in their project work and career growth.
- Consultancy Services: Deliver clear and actionable technical advice to clients, enabling informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Accredited BEng Hons, MEng, or MSc from the Engineering Council.
- Associate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
- Progressing towards Chartered status with a recognized body such as the Engineering Council (EC), RICS, or CABE.
- Strong technical understanding of the fire engineer's role within the design team and the services provided throughout various project stages.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
