This consultancy is renowned for providing strategic guidance, innovative design solutions, construction oversight, and risk management services to a diverse clientele across the UK and internationally. With nearly 15 years of industry experience, they have earned accolades for their collaborative work with local authorities, architects, and design teams, ensuring safety is integral to architectural vision. Their projects span various sectors, including commercial, residential, education, transportation, healthcare, hospitality, and nuclear.
Key Responsibilities- Report directly to the Associate Fire Engineer or Associate Director.
- Oversee technical elements of larger projects or significant components of major initiatives.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior Fire Engineers within the team.
- Deliver fire consultancy services, design services, and fire safety strategies.
- Manage inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain client relationships while identifying new business prospects.
- Lead the fire engineering team to successfully execute multiple projects.
- Participate in design team meetings throughout project lifecycles.
- Contribute to business strategy and digital innovation efforts.
- Prepare reports, engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including financial oversight, quality management, and customer relations.
- Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Accredited BEng Hons, MEng, or MSc in Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards it.
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFIREE) or working towards it.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in fire engineering.
- Proven track record in delivering fire-engineered solutions for projects based in the UK.
- Familiarity with both active and passive fire protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of UK legislation, regulations, and design guidelines (candidates from New Zealand or Australia with comparable regulations are also encouraged to apply).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Possession of a UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Salary between £65,000 and £90,000 (negotiable).
- Mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile.
- Incentives for chartership and additional bonus schemes.
