Clear Safety Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Consultant to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a rapidly expanding compliance consultancy, we are looking for someone who can cope with this dynamic role, whilst adopting a proportionate and common-sense approach to this ever-changing field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out desktop quality assurance of internal reports, Fire Risk Assessments, and other types of fire safety reports, including validation of fire risk assessments.
- Oversight of fire safety projects undertaken by contractors, from the initial quotation check stage through to delivery and certification.
- Managing in-house inspectors and liaising with sub-contractors of clients, housing officers, and client fire safety managers.
- Site audits and producing technical reports, including fire risk assessments, and providing remedial action recommendations as part of our inspection regime for clients.
- Providing fire safety advice to clients, both written and oral.
- Representing our company at meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified with NEBOSH General and Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate or have at least a Level 3 fire risk assessment qualification recognized by the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) or IFSM (Institute of Fire Safety Managers).
- Good records of CPD and willingness to self-enhance knowledge of fire safety.
- Good knowledge of UK legislation and guidance, including housing fire safety guidance.
- Member of the IFSM or IFE (desirable).
- Experience in residential fire risk.
- Suitable fire door inspector qualification or understanding of fire doors (beneficial).
- Knowledge of construction, upgrades, and refurbishment (preferred).
- Ability to work on their own initiative and have an ambition to self-improve and be part of a team.
- Good links for work in the London area but willing to travel further when required, including to the office in Kent on occasion.
- Clean driving license.
- Good interpersonal skills.
