Clinical Unit Leader for the Dialysis Centre, situated within a prominent healthcare facility.

We are in search of future nursing leaders to become part of our welcoming Renal team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Recent experience in a senior nursing role is required, along with demonstrable clinical knowledge and skills in patient care. You should be well-versed in the specialty and fully comprehend governance and its significance in ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, while proactively monitoring and providing feedback on compliance.

Qualifications & Education

Essential

Valid NMC Registration Mentorship qualification Post-registration qualifications relevant to the role Diploma or Degree in Nursing Evidence of education to degree level. Successful completion of or willingness to pursue a leadership and development program (equivalent to the Internal Band 6 Leadership and Development program).

Desirable

Level 4 ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

Understanding of Clinical Governance and Safeguarding and their relevance to practice Familiarity with relevant policies and procedures Awareness of ethical issues Evidence of clinical competence in the area of specialty Experience in mentorship and the ability to identify learning and development needs

Desirable
