The Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team and support our client projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project management services for new and ongoing contracts within the Department, working closely with the Projects Team to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that projects meet their agreed objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage financial, change, risk, and scope requirements, as well as contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and ensure that project information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve conflicts or issues related to schedule, cost, or resources.
  • Manage and report on the financial performance of allocated projects.
  • Ensure that invoices are raised in accordance with contractual conditions.
  • Identify opportunities for new business or variations to current contracts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a defence or related industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage financial aspects of projects.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing teams and leading projects to successful completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
