The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team and support our client projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project management for new and ongoing contracts within the Department, working closely with the Projects Team to execute their projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Ensure that projects meet their agreed objectives, managing various factors including financial management, change management, risk management, scope and contractual requirements, project reviews, and customer relationships.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of allocated projects, ensuring that invoices are raised in accordance with contractual conditions.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and generate variations to current contracts.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in the Naval Defence industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, commercial awareness, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience in managing others.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or engineering.
