Join Our Pensions Administration Team

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we are dedicated to managing the Local Government Pension Scheme for our active, deferred, and retired members. We are entering an exciting phase as we enhance our software system, Civica UPM, to streamline processes and create a more automated approach to benefit processing, along with an online service for both scheme members and employers.

The Pension Administration Team plays a crucial role in delivering this service, assisting scheme members as they near retirement, providing essential pension information to our active workforce, and supporting pensioners who are already receiving their benefits.

Are you a people-oriented individual with a proactive mindset? If so, you might be the perfect addition to our team at Nottinghamshire County Council. While prior pensions experience is advantageous, we also welcome newcomers and offer comprehensive training.

These roles involve gaining knowledge about the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations at an operational level, along with the processing and calculation of scheme benefits, including deferments, refunds of contributions, and transfers between pension funds. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing data management and process enhancement tasks.

This position entails a 37-hour workweek, with a flexible working time scheme in place. Our team currently operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with regular in-person office interactions as part of a structured training and team communication program.
