Are you interested in contributing to the successful delivery of construction and infrastructure initiatives from inception to completion? We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team.

Role Overview

As a Construction Project Manager, you will serve as a client-side project manager, ensuring the effective execution of design, planning, and construction for a diverse array of facility enhancement and estate projects.

Project Scope

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of projects, including:

  • Infrastructure enhancements
  • Utility installations or removals
  • Building refurbishments
  • New construction projects
  • Installation of manufacturing equipment

This position offers a dynamic work environment across various aspects of managing a manufacturing setting and large-scale industrial sites.

Travel Opportunities

Occasional travel within the UK may be required, and international opportunities could arise as necessary for project design or delivery, providing a chance to broaden your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead all project phases in accordance with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Plan of Work, ensuring compliance with company and departmental quality standards. Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with a diverse network of internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Interpreting client requirements and supporting design preparations
  • Implementing plans, obtaining specification approvals, and developing financial business cases
  • Managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams for facility development
  • Coordinating onsite contractor activities safely
Health & Safety Compliance

It is essential to take responsibility for all installations in line with current company policies, statutory health and safety regulations, and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).

Qualifications

A degree or HNC/D in Construction or Building Services is preferred, although candidates with relevant experience in the Built Environment are encouraged to apply. Ideal qualifications include:

  • Experience in construction project management, civil engineering, or related fields
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH)
  • Knowledge of construction and manufacturing plant installations
  • Experience managing contractors in compliance with CDM regulations
  • Previous experience in design management of construction projects
