Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Morgan Sindall Group Plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Construction Section Manager in the execution of their duties on SRP SPRS Modifications and Infrastructure Services Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Construction Section Manager: Monitor contractors in relation to site, contractual, and statutory requirements, ensuring contractors are aware of their subsequent responsibilities.
- Agree Safe Systems of Work: Ensure contractors agree to safe systems of work, stakeholders' supervision requirements, and define handover points for supervision.
- Ensure Risk Assessment: Perform and ensure appropriate risk assessment is performed, and work progresses in line with safe systems of work.
- Implement Supervision Levels: Ensure agreed supervision levels are implemented, and workplace checks are carried out.
- Post-Job Review: Carry out post-job reviews and assist with delivery of the construction discipline phase of the project, meeting safety, cost, programme, and quality objectives.
- Provide Construction Expertise: Assist in the provision of construction expertise and input to constructability reviews, ensuring design, work scope, and construction strategies embed the outputs.
- Personal Development: Continuously develop personal skills to keep up to date with the latest construction techniques and technologies.
- Nuclear Safety: Ensure a proactive and proportionate approach to nuclear safety, quality, and safety to ensure they are optimized on the site.
- Radiological and Environmental Safety: Ensure a proactive and proportionate approach to radiological, conventional, and environmental safety to ensure they are optimized on the construction site in accordance with approved construction documents.
- Construction Strategy: Have an awareness of the construction strategy and plans in line with the overall project strategy and plan, maintaining subsequent records generated and input to the Construction phase plan.
- Progress Reporting: Report progress to the Construction Section Manager and maintain appropriate records for safety, contractual, or quality purposes.
- Liaison with Plant Personnel: Manage day-to-day liaison with plant personnel to ensure necessary permissions are in place and minimize impact to the project.
- Work Coordination: Manage day-to-day arrangements for work coordination and delivery of work to ensure delivery teams have suitable arrangements for maintaining a safe construction site.
Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Preferably DV security cleared, or ability to achieve relevant clearance.
- Certifications: SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, or NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Construction.
- Experience: Experience of delivering construction work on Sellafield site or other complex, highly regulated sites.
- Skills: Good management and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance.
- Operational Planning: Good operational planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
- Construction Knowledge: Sound knowledge of construction practices and standards.
