Job Overview:


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in a manufacturing setting to perform both planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.


You will be stationed at our advanced components manufacturing facility, utilizing cutting-edge machinery valued at over £50 million.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintenance planning.

You will report directly to the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all machinery.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts for all equipment.
- Conduct general maintenance of the facility's infrastructure.
- Perform routine safety inspections on machinery.
- Serve as the primary contact for equipment malfunctions, coordinating with external engineers as necessary.
- Document breakdown repair activities.
- Prepare daily reports detailing maintenance activities and equipment status.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an apprenticeship with City & Guilds and NVQ in engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in fault diagnosis (both electrical and mechanical); PLC experience is advantageous.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective execution of repairs.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to minimize downtime and enhance equipment efficiency.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Provide timely and effective reporting feedback.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify faults down to the component level.
- A strong commitment to safety, ideally with relevant Health and Safety training.
- Knowledge of the following machinery is beneficial:

  • CNC Punch Machines
  • Press Brakes
  • Fibre & Co2 Lasers
  • Robotic Welding
  • Manual Welding Equipment Maintenance
