Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential issues, ensuring accurate assessment for optimal quoting. You will also perform scheduled repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently, responding to emergency callouts and addressing urgent maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently, maximising earning potential through increased job completion rates.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and address urgent maintenance issues, offering opportunities for additional earnings through callout charges and hourly rates.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance-related problems with precision, providing accurate quotes and minimising material costs.
  • Utilise specialised tools and equipment to carry out repairs and installations effectively, enhancing efficiency and profitability on each job.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities, safeguarding against potential liabilities and preserving earnings.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including job details, materials used, and hours worked, facilitating efficient billing processes and maximising earnings transparency.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on maintenance progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have, fostering trust and facilitating successful quoting processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction trade.
  • Proficient in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and joinery skills.
  • Holder of a DBS Certificate/check.
  • Demonstrating skills in diagnosing and conducting on-site repairs, sourcing materials, and maintaining high standards of work.
  • Reliable and dedicated to delivering work of the highest standard consistently.
  • Ability to confidently quote and win work.
  • Proficient in using smartphone.
