Main Responsibilities:

As a key member of our field team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of all maintenance tasks and projects. You will be the proactive problem-solver who contributes to the success of Optimal Maintenance through your commitment and expertise in property repairs, maintenance tasks, and client satisfaction.

In your role as the Property Maintenance Specialist, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring meticulous attention to detail, timely task completion, and adherence to our high standards. You will benefit from an attractive remuneration package, including a 50% share on labour jobs and a £40 hourly rate for emergency call-outs. This structure maximizes your earning potential. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing accurate job quotes to remain competitive, securing profitable contracts, and enhancing your income. A company van may be available, along with comprehensive insurance coverage for both the vehicle and public liability. We cover congestion charges and ensure bi-weekly invoice payments, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting detailed property inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues, ensuring precise assessments for optimal quoting.
  • Executing scheduled repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently to enhance job completion rates and earning potential.
  • Responding swiftly to emergency call-outs and addressing urgent maintenance concerns, providing opportunities for additional earnings through call-out fees and hourly rates.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance-related issues with accuracy to provide reliable quotes and minimize material costs.
  • Utilizing specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs and installations effectively, boosting efficiency and profitability on each job.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities, protecting against potential liabilities and safeguarding earnings.
  • Maintaining thorough records of maintenance work, including job specifics, materials utilized, and hours worked, facilitating efficient billing processes and maximizing earnings transparency.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, providing updates on maintenance progress, and addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have, fostering trust and facilitating successful quoting processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in fundamental electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and joinery skills.
  • Holder of a DBS Certificate/check.
  • Demonstrated ability in diagnosing and conducting on-site repairs, sourcing materials, and maintaining high work standards.
  • Reliable and committed to consistently delivering top-quality work.
  • Ability to confidently quote and secure work.
  • Proficient in smartphone usage.

  • Possession of a basic toolkit and van.
