Property Maintenance Specialist

Your new company is a leading charity organization in the South East, investing income from their properties to support education, elderly housing, and community maintenance. They also fund seven schools across the region through direct support or foundation trusts.
Your new role
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Principal Building Surveyor and the Building Surveying Department to assist in all aspects of property repair, maintenance, and improvement, while performing general building surveying duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and delivering strategic goals and specific projects.
- Ensure property portfolio compliance with Health and Safety legislation and the Building Safety Act.
- Conduct regular inspections, prepare reports, budgets, specifications, and oversee repair and maintenance works.
- Manage stakeholder interactions, including tenants, contractors, and internal/external enquiries.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including the Party Wall Act and section 20 works.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives and manage maintenance requests for amenity areas.
- Maintain records of property repairs and maintenance, assist with insurance claims, and manage financial processes like raising purchase orders and approving invoices.
Requirements for Success:
- Strong understanding of building surveying principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
