Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Round Pegs Recruitment. As a Handyman and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vital maintenance services across our clients' portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the maintenance team to respond to all basic maintenance and repair issues in the buildings as highlighted by the property management department.
  • Complete multi-disciplined types of maintenance both inside and outside our properties, including plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical checks, groundwork, and painting.
  • Ensure that works are performed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Plumbing: unblock drains, toilets, investigate and stop leaks.
    • Basic Electrics: change light fittings, replace plugs, fuses, and light bulbs.
    • Decorating: stain blocking, touching up walls and woodwork, fencing.
    • Heavy Item Moving: collection, transportation, and delivery of items.
    • Basic Repairs: replace door handles, toilet seats, shower hoses, and heads.
    • Clear roof surfaces and gutters.
    • Clean carpets as required.
    • Assess void flats between tenancies and implement remedial works to kitchens and bathrooms as required.
    • Attend departmental and other relevant meetings as requested.
    • Undergo appropriate training as available and as determined in conjunction with the Property Maintenance Manager.
    • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Property Maintenance Team Leader or other designated senior staff.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30pm, Friday 4:00pm. Salary: £32-38k pa dependent on skills and experience.
