Main Purpose of Role

As a Maintenance Engineer with Optimal Maintenance Ltd, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every detail is covered, tasks are completed promptly, and our high standards are upheld. You will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential issues, ensuring accurate assessment for optimal quoting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting property inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential issues
  • Performing scheduled repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently
  • Responding to emergency callouts and addressing urgent maintenance issues
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance-related problems
  • Utilising specialised tools and equipment to carry out repairs and installations effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work
  • Communicating effectively with clients and providing updates on maintenance progress

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction trade
  • Proficient in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and joinery skills
  • Holder of a DBS Certificate/check
  • Demonstrating skills in diagnosing and conducting on-site repairs, sourcing materials, and maintaining high standards of work
  • Reliable and dedicated to delivering work of the highest standard consistently
  • Ability to confidently quote and win work
  • Proficient in using smartphone
