About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our client's in-house team at one of their London-based student accommodation sites. As a Fabric Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining assets through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hands-on maintenance with a focus on plant rooms, including PPMs and minor repairs as required
  • Liaising with external contractors for electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Fabric maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and other tasks as needed
  • Point of contact for maintenance assistants on site, providing guidance and support
  • Supporting the maintenance manager in achieving 100% compliance in audits
  • Ensuring adherence to H&S policies and maintaining risk assessments and method statements
Requirements
  • Experience in a maintenance position within a commercial environment, preferably in a multi-floor residential setting
  • Experience working in plant rooms for PPMs, minor repairs, and maintenance, and liaising with specialist contractors as needed
  • Maintenance experience, including minor plant room repairs, minor plumbing, minor AC, and fabric repairs
  • PPM knowledge and H&S compliance awareness
  • Ability to work as a team and support assistants on site
