Head of Governance and Reporting

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Head of Governance and Reporting to join their team. This is a brand new role that will be responsible for building the governance and reporting function from the ground up.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Head of GRC, the Group CISO, the Head of Information Security, and various stakeholders to promote transparency, accountability, and compliance with relevant requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and reporting standards. They will also have a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and be able to build strong relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement the governance framework and reporting function within GISO.
  • Ensure that governance is effectively implemented and maintained across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to promote transparency, accountability, and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a large, international, and complex organization.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and reporting standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Collaborative and able to build strong relationships across the organization.
Desirable:
  • A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CGEIT) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Sound analytical skills to extract insights from information.
  • Proficiency in governance and reporting software tools.

Please note that this role has been deemed inside of IR35, and you will need to work through an umbrella company if successful.
