Job Summary:

Ambitious about Autism is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Governance and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring best practice governance and compliance is embedded in our organization and the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality monitoring and reporting policies and systems to promote excellent governance and maintain compliance with all external regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Executive Teams and wider Senior Management Team to ensure the Board is meeting its responsibilities and receiving high-quality information and support from the staff team.
  • Manage the governance of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory environments such as the Charity Commission, Care Quality Commission, and Department for Education.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on governance and compliance matters to Trustees and senior leaders.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing the governance of an organization.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory environments such as the Charity Commission, Care Quality Commission, and Department for Education.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in governance and compliance, working at a senior level with Trustees and senior leaders.
