About the Role:

Better Days Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Governance and Compliance to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the governance framework and reporting function within the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust governance framework that ensures transparency, accountability, and compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Group Head of GRC, the Group CISO, the Head of Information Security, and various stakeholders to promote effective governance and reporting practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that governance and reporting requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement reporting standards and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to the organization on governance and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a large, international, and complex organization.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and reporting standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Collaborative and able to build strong relationships across the organization.

Desirable:

  • A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CGEIT) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Sound analytical skills to extract insights from information.
  • Proficiency in governance and reporting software tools.

Working Arrangements:

Please note that this role has been deemed outside of IR35, and you will need to work through an umbrella company if successful.
