About the Role

The Head of Compliance and Governance role at Crisis UK is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong leader to ensure the organization adheres to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Governance, Compliance, and Risk team to build and embed a proactive and enabling culture of compliance and assurance across the organization.

You will also serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Crisis UK, ensuring the organization's commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective compliance and risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the Governance, Compliance, and Risk team to build a culture of compliance and assurance, promoting a proactive and enabling approach to risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance and risk management matters, ensuring a culture of compliance and accountability throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in compliance and risk management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
