Job Description

**About the Role**

Better Days Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Head of Governance and Compliance to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing a robust governance framework and reporting function.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive governance framework that ensures transparency, accountability, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Group Head of GRC, Group CISO, and other stakeholders to promote effective governance and reporting practices.
  • Design and implement a reporting function that meets internal and external requirements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports.
  • Provide strategic guidance on risk management, compliance, and governance matters, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk managers, and compliance officers.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as technology, information security, or business administration.
  • Proven leadership experience in a large, complex organization, preferably in the financial services or regulated industries.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and reporting standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • Master's degree or professional certifications, such as CISA, CISM, or CGEIT.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Sound analytical skills to extract insights from information and proficiency in governance and reporting software tools.

**Note**

This role has been deemed outside of IR35, and you will need to work through an umbrella company if successful.
