About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Manager to join our Oncology Team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality care and support.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing teams, ideally during times of change, as well as NHS knowledge and experience. You will be responsible for supervising staff, streamlining administrative processes, and supporting the day-to-day operational running of the service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and support.
  • Streamline administrative processes to improve efficiency and reduce waiting times.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to ensure the service is running smoothly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement new ways of working to improve patient outcomes and experience.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths and English Grade A-C.
  • Significant administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of working in a supervisory capacity, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience in validation and waiting list management.
  • Proven experience and success in change management.

Desirable

  • Comprehensive PC skills, including databases, word-processing, and e-mail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to demonstrate good listening skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
