Job Overview

In this active role, you will be instrumental in creating a safe and inviting space for all stakeholders. As the Safety Operations Coordinator, your responsibilities will include delivering outstanding safety services, overseeing daily functions, and assisting the Campus Security Lead in upholding exceptional standards throughout the premises.

This role operates on a standard schedule, providing flexibility for occasional modifications to accommodate operational requirements. If you possess a solid background in safety management, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for ensuring a secure and positive environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Campus Security Lead in addressing and managing any concerns promptly and professionally while providing safety assistance across all relevant contracts.
  • Aid in the administration of the safety operations to deliver a service that prioritizes customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate the delivery of training and development programs.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including the distribution of daily schedules, conducting team meetings, delivering safety briefings, and overseeing leave management.
  • Engage with staff, students, visitors, and contractors regarding inquiries, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Act as a point of contact for Incident Management, ensuring incidents are handled and escalated according to established protocols.
Qualifications:

Required

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • 3-5 years of experience in the safety sector with a comprehensive understanding of the field.
  • Proficient in using computer systems relevant to safety operations.
  • Familiarity with CCTV and alarm systems and their functionalities.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Proficient in drafting operational logs, safety reports, and documentation to high standards.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with BS7858:2013 standards
  • CCTV Licence
  • First Aid certification
  • Fire Warden training
