Position Summary
The Health and Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in the creation, execution, and upkeep of health and safety initiatives throughout the organization. This position is essential for ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations, promoting a safety-first culture, and mitigating risks within the chemical production and processing environment.
As part of a close-knit management team, you will spearhead the Health & Safety efforts across the manufacturing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System and associated processes.
- Conduct effective reviews to achieve ongoing enhancements in quality performance.
- Facilitate the integration of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Systems.
- Oversee internal and external quality audit procedures.
- Provide expertise and problem-solving capabilities through knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems.
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies aligned with group standards and management responsibilities.
- Support the integration of local Health and Safety Management Systems to achieve overall site accreditation.
- Actively participate in the formulation of the Annual Site Business Plan.
- Lead and manage HSE objectives to deliver desired outcomes.
- Coordinate continuous improvement projects to enhance overall site performance.
- Assist in the creation, development, and execution of HSEQ projects and improvement plans.
- Coach colleagues on audits, behavioral safety, investigations, risk assessments, and performance management systems to enhance effectiveness.
- Support the professional development of colleagues in their specific HSE roles and responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production setting.
