Role Summary: We are currently in search of a skilled and committed Safety Compliance Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in safeguarding the manufacturing operations, overseeing traffic management, handling hazardous materials, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and assess health and safety policies and protocols.
  • Perform risk evaluations and ensure that suitable measures are implemented to minimize risks.
  • Supervise the management of hazardous materials, ensuring their safe handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Oversee traffic flow within the manufacturing facility to guarantee the safety of personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, implementing corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Engage with external health and safety authorities and agencies as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable Health and Safety role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing traffic and hazardous materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
