About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a new role within our organization, and we are looking for a motivated individual to support our Patient Safety Learning Response Lead in providing Trust-wide oversight of patient safety learning responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and present safety performance data, analyzing themes and trends to inform improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on patient safety and compliance, ensuring that all staff are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external agencies, such as the Care Quality Commission, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversight and coordination of patient safety alerts, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to mitigate risks.
  • Review and analyze safety-related information to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Recent experience in the safety and quality governance environment, with a focus on patient safety and clinical risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders and clinical staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and review internal and external sources of information to inform improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with risk management databases, such as Datix.
