Assured Safety Recruitment is in search of a dedicated Health & Safety Manager for a rapidly growing chemical enterprise focused on innovation, quality, and safety. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of health and safety at the Stourbridge facility.

Position Summary

The Health and Safety Manager will take charge of the development, execution, and maintenance of health and safety initiatives throughout the organization. This position is vital for ensuring adherence to all pertinent regulations, cultivating a safety-oriented culture, and mitigating risks within our chemical manufacturing and processing operations.

As a key member of a small, cohesive site management team for a prominent brand in the industry, you will oversee the Health & Safety function across the manufacturing and distribution site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) Management System and process enhancements.
  • Conduct effective reviews to achieve ongoing improvements in quality performance.
  • Facilitate the integration of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Systems.
  • Oversee internal and external quality audit processes.
  • Provide expertise and problem-solving capabilities through knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems.
  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies aligned with group standards and management responsibilities.
  • Support the integration of the local Health and Safety Management System to achieve overall Site Accreditation to Standards.
  • Actively participate in the formulation of the Annual Site Business Plan.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage HSE objectives to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance overall site performance.
  • Assist in the creation, development, and execution of HSEQ projects and improvement plans.
  • Coach colleagues on audits, behavioral safety, investigations, Risk Assessments, and PMS to enhance the effectiveness of these systems and processes.
  • Support the professional development of colleagues in their specific HSE roles and responsibilities.

Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment is essential.
