The Opportunity:

We are in search of a Packaging Solutions Specialist who will be responsible for providing expert advice and innovative solutions related to all technical packaging needs across the company. This role involves taking ownership of packaging challenges and logistics specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support New Product Development and Innovation by defining packaging specifications and ensuring process capability.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives by collaborating with various teams and staying informed about global packaging sustainability trends.
  • Identify and source new packaging materials and suppliers, managing change control and conducting line trials for new packaging projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to Procurement for both new and existing packaging needs, focusing on cost and quality enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment of packaging components with third-party manufacturers and quality control standards, managing all specifications within the Quality Management System.
  • Build strong technical relationships with stakeholders to minimize production downtime and contribute to profit enhancement strategies.
  • Offer guidance on all packaging-related matters, including technical artwork approval and compliance with barcode standards.

Qualifications:

We would appreciate:

  • Relevant experience in Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Toiletries, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
  • Experience collaborating with Technical, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Commercial teams to address and document packaging challenges.
  • A solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and requirements.
  • Established relationships with external suppliers and industry experts in packaging.
  • Current knowledge of packaging innovations and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation, including packaging specifications.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Quality Management Systems like Q Pulse.
