About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our professional services team as a Cohort Administrative Officer. This role will support the delivery of the 3-year Pre-Registration Nursing programme by coordinating and planning various activities and events related to student placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Practice Learning mailbox to ensure consistent communication with students and NHS colleagues.
  • Allocate students and transfer information into QMPLE, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep the Immigration Compliance team updated on placement information for students requiring a visa.
  • Process placement expense applications for students not receiving a SAAS bursary, including international and RUK students.
  • Support the implementation of the EPad system, working with the administrator and e-learning technologist to add Academic Assessors.
  • Assist the Practice Learning academic team in maintaining up-to-date MyDundee pages.
  • Ensure student records accurately reflect their journey, including hours completed during practice learning and simulated practice in SITs.
  • Provide support to the PLT in relation to the Simulated Practice Experience, maintaining student SPE Groups, retrieving and recording hours, and distributing SPE lists to facilitators for moderation.
  • Support aspects of the placement journey, including audits, cause for concern, and the practice learning committee, working closely with the Practice Learning Lead.
  • Collaborate with the Go Abroad Co-ordinator on student Go Abroad opportunities.
  • Liaise with staff responsible for the practice learning element of the programme, including the practice learning team, academic year lead, and Advisers of Studies.
  • Provide cover across learning and teaching activities and the Enquiries Office during periods of annual leave and staff absence.
  • Embed the five core values of the University Transformation Agenda into the working environment within the School.
Requirements
  • An administrator with experience in higher education and a sound knowledge of IT.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently, using judgment and initiative to plan and organize own workload.
  • Proactive response to challenges, with enthusiasm and flexibility as a member of a team, responding to tight deadlines.
