ACTORS' CHILDREN'S TRUST is seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our team. As the key strategic leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the charity's operations, ensuring the effective management of our grant-making scheme, and providing support to our Trustees.
Key Responsibilities:- Line manage the Head of Family Support and ensure the smooth operation of our family support services.
- Forecast, plan, and pay grants, ensuring the effective management of our grant-making scheme.
- Coordinate ACT's CV eligibility panel and ensure strategic direction.
- Support sub-committees and working groups as needed, playing a vital role in ACT's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Organise, administer, service, and support Trustees' meetings and work, ensuring the Charity Commission records and reports are accurate and timely.
- Prepare budgets and management figures for the Trustees, ensuring cashflow and cashflow reporting.
- Line manage any fundraising freelancers and staff, ensuring best practice in thanking and communicating with donors.
- Develop and monitor ACT's marketing strategy, overseeing social media and any freelance or other workers.
- Be responsible for the ACT office, IT, and services, maintaining accurate and secure records.
- Experience in supporting a charity board of Trustees.
- A clear and engaging communicator in writing and speech.
- Experience in charity financial management.
- Experience in grant-making processes and policies.
- Experience in line management of staff and volunteers.
- Experience in marketing and communications.
- Empathetic, welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental.
- Experience of welfare and advisory work with children and families.
- Digital marketing experience.
- Office management, IT, CRM, and Wordpress experience.
- Knowledge of contemporary fundraising.
- An understanding of challenges faced by actors.
- A passion for stage and screen.
Reporting to: The Chair of Trustees, or their Deputy.
