About the Role

The Executive Director, Parks and Visitor Services is a senior executive position responsible for leading the strategic directions of the parks management and visitor services functions within the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and management of the department as a member of its Corporate Executive.
  • Develop and implement departmental standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to parks management and visitor services functions.
  • Provide policy and specialist advice to the Minister, Director General, Deputy Director General, and other relevant parties.
  • Create a strategic direction for the division, aligned with the department's strategic directions and values.
  • Ensure sound strategic, operational, and business planning and management for the division.
  • Provide leadership of change management initiatives relevant to the department and the division.
