Job Title: Parks and Visitor Services Officer

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Kensington, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be part of the Recreation and Trails Unit, responsible for managing recreational activities and trails, events, park alerts, and supporting the day-to-day management of the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail, and Cape to Cape Track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the public and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain computer literacy skills to effectively use word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team with minimal supervision to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrate a personal interest in sustainable outdoor recreation and trails in natural landscapes.

Selection Criteria:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases).
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience and personal interest in sustainable outdoor recreation and trails in natural landscapes.

Eligibility: To be eligible for permanent appointment, it is essential to have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency status.
